Quality Home Design began as a sole trading business, expanded to a mother-daughter partnership and has since grown to a tight knit company based in Bacchus Marsh. We specialise and cover all aspects of residential development; whether that be designing a new home or unit developments or renovating or extending your existing home.
Our designs are all custom; arguing that designing is about creating a space that works for you and your individual needs, in a way that is practical and efficient. This is why we work with you every step of the way to ensure your project meets your individual specifications. We want your dreams to become a reality as much as you do.

Susan Marriott
Founder
Susan founded Quality Home Design in 1983 after discovering her passion for building design at RMIT. Susan became the first female member of the Building Designers Association of Victoria, now known as Design Matters, and is recognised for her contribution to this space. Susan specialises in new homes, extensions and renovations and believes that your house design should be as individual as you are.
Alyson Myers
Partner
Alyson decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps and studied building design and construction at RMIT, finishing in 2012 and then working her way up to partner. Alyson specialises in contemporary and modern design; focusing especially on new homes and unit developments, and compares designing to playing Tetris. Alyson believes that optimising space is paramount in building design, and wants to help her clients achieve the best outcome for their brief, land and budget.
Melissa Amadei
Team
Melissa started with the Quality Home Design team in 2019 and has adapted to building design like no other. Melissa is one of the bubbly voices you hear greeting you when you call and specialises in all our front of house operations. Melissa enjoys working in building design and seeing all the ways that houses can be customised to suit someone’s needs.
Tim McNamara
Team
Tim has been an integral part of our team since 2017 after finishing studying at The Gordon in 2016. Tim has always enjoyed design and after an involuntary career change, he decided to follow this passion as a career. Tim specialises in complex site and Specialist Disability Accommodation and appreciates the impact good design can have on someone’s quality of life.
Kellie Cassar
Team
Kellie has a background in real estate and wanted to expand on her knowledge of the building process and began working for us at Quality Home Design on a one year maternity leave contract, but once that finished, we couldn’t possibly let her go. Kellie is our other bubbly voice that greets you on the phone and loves seeing people design their dream homes and finds this a very exciting aspect of the job.
